In Memorial of the Crystal Master, Steven Rosley

Steven Howard Rosley passed away last Wednesday at the age of 74.To those who knew him, he was a warm free-spirited soul who marched to the beat of his own drum. He touched many people's lives because he wore so many different hats in his own.

After graduating from Bradley University in 1967, he opened an art gallery with a friend that specialized in 19th century lithographs. In the early 70s he left for Europe, honing his jewelry-making craft which supported his livelihood. He spent a great deal of time in Manchester, Copenhagen, Paris and Torremolinos, Spain.

His next roles would prove the most challenging/fulfilling: husband and father. Between 1978 and 1991, his four children were born: Jeremie & Stephanie to Martine Benoit, and then Tim & Luke to Denise Faith.

It could be said that Dad's true calling came with assuming the moniker of "Crystalmaster." This career gave him the joy and fulfillment he'd professionally craved his entire adult life.
Seeking out rare and unusual stones offered him the opportunity to travel once more, on a global scale. Whether it was hunting for opals in Australia, acquiring Infinite in South Africa or meditating with John of God in the rainforests of Brazil, our father lived the world and loved it.

We will be celebrating that world at Dad's store (4344 N Western in Chicago) on Friday November 3, from 4-7pm. We invite all those whose lives he touched to join us.
